AMI

Founded by Maria Montessori, AMI is the steward of the Montessori educational approach developed over 100 years ago, building upon her work to apply it in every setting and to each child without compromising the integrity of the approach.

We promote and continue the study, research, and reflection of Maria Montessori’s work, ensuring it remains contemporary and aligned with current insights in child development and education. This ensures that AMI teacher training and Montessori education consistently meet the highest standards of implementation across the globe.

Educateurs sans Frontières

Educators without Borders (Educateurs sans Frontières) inspire and support diverse global Montessori initiatives for children and families, guiding them towards sustainability, expansion and replication. We are committed to transcending borders in order to promote the rights of the child throughout the world. We bring people together to support the application of Montessori principles in under-resourced contexts.

Montessori Society AMI-UK

Montessori Society AMI-UK was founded on the 3rd January 1934 and set up in order to ‘represent Dr. Maria Montessori in Great Britain and to represent the International Montessori Association. Since that day in 1934, the Society has continued along the same path, bringing to the UK Montessori Community regular publications (the ‘Direction’), selling Montessori-related books, organising conferences and sharing resources via our website, www.montessorisociety.org.uk.
All the activities of the Society share the sole aim, which is to promote the principles and practices laid down by Dr Maria Montessori herself, and preserve the integrity of her life’s work.

Nienhuis Montessori by Heutink.

Nienhuis Montessori was founded in 1929 by Albert Nienhuis, who collaborated with Maria Montessori to create products which reflected her vision of education. Children feel a natural drive to develop and need to be given the opportunity to do so freely. Nienhuis Montessori’s product range enables children to discover the world independently. We only use the best materials, created with care, commitment and attention to detail. Nienhuis combines skills with technology, and has been doing so for over 85 years. Educating people is a skill.
